Welcome to Panem. A territory situated in America North led an iron hand by the Capitol. Katniss grew up in the twelfth district, called the vein that carries coal to the leaders. She still needs her mother and little sister, Prim, since the death of his father in the mines. In this troubled world held every year the Hunger Games, a cruel game imposed by the government in power after the abortive revolt of the twelve districts. Two names are then drawn in the youth population of the twelve districts, one boy and one girl. The only rule is to survive the onslaught of competitors. All under the eye of the cameras that broadcast the fighting across the country. That day Katniss will hear the worst of names: Prim. First volume of a trilogy that contains all the ingredients to make the pages turn by themselves: adventure, love, suspense.
Reprinted booksellers Page No. 134, just off Caulfield, and Princess and the killer. Like what
with Gawou was somewhat similar tastes!
But the biggest fan is Clarabel.
A real stroke of heart surprise, swallowed in one go then I read the 400 pages on A4 sheets separated, while the usual format discourages me fast enough!
I look forward to reading the trilogy in full, but I have not the courage to decrypt the volume 2 in English.
Volume 3 comes out in vo in August 2010, hoping that the translations follow the pace.
There are even movies planned an event you said!
