Thank you for your strong support that allowed us to go to trial more serene because we were carried by the wave, and this mobilization has undoubtedly contributed to the moderation the indictment and the verdict.
We had planned to appeal not to "betray" and this support because we thought that the continuation of the controversy would be helpful to the defense of human rights, and particularly RESF.
After consulting various boards and in light of recent events and statements, we decided not to appeal the ruling for the following reasons:
- the odds (as it does no justice to the true meaning the term, but a political trial) to be relaxed all are minimal.
- comparison between the Vichy regime and that we experience is echoed by most media personalities, the relay is provided on the plan.
- call has to sense if we decide to go to the European Court of Human Rights. This again would mobilize energy (ours and yours) at the expense of other more important cases to defend, and not contribute significantly to the cause we all defend .
We will not forget your solidarity brought us warmth and optimism that has strengthened our determination .
